Madison Artists Guild

An exhibit by members of the Madison Artists Guild in Morgan County will open at the Garden on Sunday, June 24 with an artist’s reception from 2:00-4:00. The Madison Artists Guild founded in 1985 is a non-profit organization of over 150 members “dedicated to the education and encouragement of artistic endeavor in its members and the community”.  The diverse membership includes painters, photographers, graphic artists and illustrators, writers, poets, woodworkers, carvers, jewelry makers, musicians, potters, fabric artists, faux finishers, gardeners, and food artisans, as well as people who just LIKE art! They offer a variety of classes and workshops to the community and also provide avenues for their members to exhibit and sell their work through juried shows, exhibits and in the Guild Cottage Gallery at 248 W. Jefferson St., Madison and The Meiere House Gallery on South Main Street, Madison. The show promises to be as diverse as their membership and runs through July 29th in the Visitor Center Gallery.
