Don't miss a reading with poets Kate Schapira and Caroline Young at Avid Bookshop! Books will be for sale and light refreshments will be available. Find your place in the leafy shadows... It's the Dog Days, baby!
When: 7:00 pm, Friday August 10
Kate Schapira is the author of four full-length books of poetry, most recently The Soft Place (Horse Less Press, 2012), and seven chapbooks -- Little Eva, the Insomniac from Mars is forthcoming from dancing girl press. She lives in Providence, where she teaches writing to college and elementary school students and co-runs the Publicly Complex Reading Series.
Caroline Young has type A blood and a typo personality. Adult swim fills her with a creeping unease but water wings chafe; her poems swim at their own risk in untended channels. Wooded hallucinations also serve the work. In May, Caroline entered candidacy for a PhD in the UGA English department and is recurrently tousled by waves of joy. What? Let’s do this!
