MOTHER GOOSE REDUX

MOTHER GOOSE REDUX. The UGA Maymester 2011 Contact Theatre class invites you to view their live performance of MOTHER GOOSE REDUX, a Contact Theatre work adapted from children's nursery rhymes. Contact Theatre is a physical theatre performance form devised by Mirla Criste, a professor in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies. Contact Theatre explores the intersection between theatre and contact improvisation (CI), an 'art-sport' that teaches the body life skills, including falling, flying, and physical contact as dialogue. This performance arises out of three intense weeks of training and investigation in both CI and Contact Theatre for 14 students at UGA.
