New Town Revue: Reginald McKnight & Tom Eisenbraun

What:
Avid Bookshop is pleased to announce the next installment of the New Town Revue on January 26, 2012, Thursday, at 7pm.

  • Reginald McKnight - fiction
  • Tom Eisenbraun - songs

Reginald McKnight is the author of The Kind of Light that Shines on Texas,  White Boys,  Moustapha’s Eclipse, He Sleeps, and  I Get on the Bus.  His many awards include the PEN/Hemingway Special Citation, Pushcart Prize, O. Henry Award, Kenyon Review Award for Literary Excellence, Whiting Award, Drue Heinz Literature Prize and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Tom Eisenbraun weaves dreams into sonic landscapes that ache of gentle hope. Drawing as much from the Takoma school of fingerstyle guitarists as from the impressionist visionaries that paved the way for the aural exploration of the 20th Century, his work is grounded in an imagery both earthy and ethereal. He is in the midst of penning the follow-up to his 2010 release, The October Country.
