The Genealogical Benefits of Bureaucracy

Class Three in the series “Searching for Your Family Members”. You do not have to attend all five classes.

Our government, at various levels, creates records to meet its organizational needs.  We can use these records to meet our needs of finding folks in our family history quest.  This class will include information about the types of records to be found, how to use them, and where to find them at the local, state, and federal levels.  Included will be tax records, deeds and land records, estate records, wills, court records, and much more. 

All these classes are free for CAL members. Pre-registration is required. Call (706) 549-4850 to sign up for the class and to sign up for CAL (Center for Active Learning). CAL requires a $25 annual membership fee
