The Southern Garden Series, featuring the work of Annie Laurie Dodd Opening reception hosted by Ladies’ Garden Club
As the first, formal garden club in America and in recognition of its 125th year, Ladies’ Garden Club will kick off a signature fundraising event highlighting the work of Ms. Annie Laurie Dodd. The evening will include the pre-sale of a limited edition series of giclée prints of Southern garden flowers. These exclusive prints, endorsed by the University of Georgia in conjunction with the College of Environment and Design, would make a delightful holiday gift for anyone who loves gardening, art, or UGA. This will be the first public exhibition of Ms. Dodd’s work since the passing of her late husband, Mr. Lamar Dodd, in 1996. The event is sponsored by Athens First Bank & Trust and the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Proceeds will benefit Founders Memorial Garden, the home of the national garden club movement located on the UGA campus, Lyndon House Arts Center, and the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
