Suspected Forged Checks Leads to Arrest

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

Around 2:20pm on May 16m officers responded to a forgery in progress at Publix on the Atlanta Highway. An employee told police that a woman attempted to cash a check at customer service that was not in her name.

The owner of the check was contacted and she said she did not know the person. When confronted with this information, the offender became irate and left the store.

Allen, 28, Briarwood Lane in,= Hull, was arrested and charged with Fourth Degree Forgery – Possession/Uttering Check under $1,500 and Fourth Degree Forgery – Possession of Less than 10 Checks.
