Georgia Quarterback Stetson Bennett Arrested In Dallas: Police

The 25-year-old Heisman Trophy finalist was taken to jail and charged with public intoxication, police said.

DALLAS, TX — Former University of Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett was arrested and charged with public intoxication Sunday in Dallas, according to police.

Shortly after 6 a.m., officers responded to reports of a man banging on doors in the 1600 block of Tribeca Way, police said. When they arrived, they found 25-year-old Bennett to be intoxicated, took him into custody and brought him to the city jail, according to police.

Bennett was a Heisman Trophy finalist after he led the 15-0 Bulldogs to SEC and CFP championships, according to ESPN, which reported he is being considered for the upcoming NFL draft.
