Harbor Club on Lake Oconee Real Estate Sales Soar 45% in 2017

Greensboro, Ga. – With the 2017 year-end numbers all tallied, Harbor Club Properties has announced a 45% increase in real estate sales compared to 2016, according to the Lake Country Board of Realtors.

Harbor Club reports that $26.5 million in home, homesite, cottage and townhome properties were sold last year compared to $18.3 million in 2016. Additionally, the community has 23 new homes currently under construction by existing property owners, and over 50 new home builds are planned for 2018.

“It has been extremely exciting to see so many new families move to Harbor Club this year,” says Kathy Phillips, director of real estate sales. ”It’s a testament to the long term commitment of the developer to expanding and enhancing its amenity base, and to providing a diverse collection of membership activities that nurtures a grounded sense of community and family here at the Lake Oconee.”

Harbor Club continues to be the only major community on Lake Oconee to offer residents a social membership option. Additionally, they have a variety of non-resident and corporate membership programs.

Harbor Club enjoyed a milestone year in 2017 in other respects, including being handpicked as a Southern Living Inspired Community by the magazine’s editors, whose criteria for the recognition includes “neighborhoods marked by charm, taste and Southern spirit that embody a distinctive pride of place.”

The highlight of the inaugural-year partnership with Southern Living came in the fall when Harbor Club unveiled its Southern Living Inspired Home, a 3,380-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath plan called The Woodmere that blends a modern décor with southern farmhouse rustic character.

The past year also saw Harbor Club earning national accolades, including:
