The second annual Hilfest event is being held Saturday at Hilsman Middle School to kick off the 2014-15 school year. Modeled after Athfest, Hilfest began in April 2013 with the intent to create a school and community that encourages hard work, creativity and accountability.
“Hilfest is a time for students to meet their teams and teachers while enjoying free food, live music, games and activities,” said Principal Selena Blankenship. “We are so grateful to the overwhelming support of our community business partners who have donated their food, time and services to support our school and the entire Hilsman neighborhood community.”
