home.made Will Soon Offer Lunch in Addition to Catering
home.made will start serving lunch by August 12, says owner Mimi Maumus.

After 8 years as a successful catering storefront, home.made from scratch will be opening for lunch service beginning Monday, August 12. According to a press release, the restaurant will offer new riffs on lunchtime classics that are worthy of a lunch date.
From seasonal soups and salads, fresh baked desserts, and sandwiches, home.made’s new lunch menu will give a nod to owner/chef Mimi Maumus’s New Orleans roots – including her spin on a muffaletta, with olive salad tapenade, and a shrimp po boy with pickled green tomato remoulade.
Daily specials will reflect the best of what is locally available and will embrace Southern cuisine. Lunch service will be available in-house as well as for pick-up and delivery Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
The full service catering/restaurant, located at 1072 Baxter Street in Athens, Georgia, has classic rustic charm, offering family style seating at farm tables and seating on vintage school chairs.
Accolades for home.made include “Best Food” at Taste of Athens (beating out competitors including Five & ten, The National, Branded Butcher, and Farm 255), and “Favorite Caterer” from Flagpole Magazine’s reader’s poll.
