Hood Harbored Hate for Howard

Admitted cop killer Jamie Hood knew Athens Clarke County Police officer Tony Howard before he wounded him on March 22 and killed officer Buddy Christian, according to a story today in the Athens Banner-Herald.

During a preliminary hearing in magistrate court on Tuesday, GBI agent Trent Hillsman testified that Hood told him he had met Howard years ago. Howard was a sheriff's deputy working at the jail when Hood was an inmate there waiting to be tried for armed robbery Hood told the agent Howard mistreated him, Hillsman said.

Hood shot the officers, then fled, eluding capture for three days and setting in motion .
