Woman In Fatal Athens Crash Charged
Police said the woman's car crossed a center lane in Athens and crashed into another car, killing the driver.
ATHENS, GA — A Hull woman is facing charges after a fatal Athens crash in June claimed the life of a Winterville woman.
Athens-Clarke Police said Monday Keosha Martin, 38, is being charged on suspicion of second-degree homicide by vehicle and failure to maintain lane.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 7 a.m., June 17, in the 1700 block of Cherokee Road.

Police said Martin was driving a 2006 Honda Accord northbound on Cherokee, when the Accord crossed the center lane and crashed into a 1999 Toyota Corolla that was heading southbound.
Linda Motichek, 70, was identified by police as the driver of the Corolla and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Martin suffered multiple non-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital, police said. A juvenile in the Accord was also taken to a hospital for evaluation.
