Medical Technologist II LABORATORY
Title: Medical Technologist II

Department: LABORATORY

Summary: Qualified to perform testing in all four general areas of the laboratory. Appropriately processes blood and body fluid specimens. Works independently performing laboratory procedures in the various areas of the laboratory. Provides patient care for patients ages newborn and up. Participates in the training of new employees and students. (40576)

Hours: FULL TIME Day Shift M-F, every other weekend day shift, primarily Chemistry and Hematology Departments. 32 Hours

Skills: Organizes well, good manual dexterity, visual acuity, mathematical skills, problem solving skills and color discrimination. Basic use of Computer Applications. Good communication skills. Works well with people.

Experience: Clinical experience gained in training program of medical technology school, or four years experience plus HHS or HEW.

Education: BS Degree in Medical Technology

Licensure:
MT -ASCP - SBB or SH or SC or SM - 1
