Kidnapping, Suicide Ruled Out In Death Of Missing Athens Woman

According to the Habersham County Sheriff's Office, there is no evidence to support Deborrah Collier, 59, died by suicide or kidnapping.

HABERSHAM COUNTY, GA — Authorities have ruled out suicide and kidnapping in connection with the death of Athens woman Deborrah Collier, CBS46 News reported Thursday.

According to the outlet, Collier's husband, Steven, reported her missing Sept. 10.

After executing several search warrants, Habersham County authorities said they did not find evidence tying Collier's death to kidnapping or suicide, the outlet reported.

Fox 5 Atlanta reported Collier was 59 years old. Her daughter, Amanda Bearden, told the outlet her mother had no history of mental illness and said Collier could not get far walking because of a "bad back."
