Library Offering Session on Preserving Your Family's History
Learn how to take care of treasured books and documents.
Everyone has mementos of their family’s history, whether it’s a tattered journal your mother wrote during your childhood or your grandparents’ marriage certificate. While these precious documents and books cannot be replaced, there are steps you can take to preserve them for generations to come. Come to Athens-Clarke County Library at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, and learn what to do!
The Library’s Heritage Room presents “Preserving Your Historical Documents and Books,” featuring Rachel Parnell, a Binding & Preservation supervisor in the Collection Department at the University of Georgia Libraries.
