Longtime ACC Department Head Resigns, Effective November 8

Keith McNeely has resigned as Director of the Housing and Community Development Department for the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government effective November 8, 2013.

According to a press release from the unified government, he has served as department director since September 2001. Manager Alan Reddish will name an interim director in the coming weeks to serve until a full-time department director is named.

"I appreciate Keith's service to the Unified Government and wish him much success in his future professional endeavors and service to this community," said Manager Reddish.

Attempts to reach McNeely were unsuccessful. He will return to the office Thursday, a receptionist said.
