Looking for Weed, 3 Arrested in Armed Home Invasion, Robbery

Athens-Clarke County Police say they men stole nearly $2,000 in items and cash.

Three men who were “looking for ‘weed’ and money” were arrested and charged with first-degree home invasion and armed robbery Sunday in Athens.

Athens Clarke County Police say Caius Schilling Joestring, 19, of Norcross, Ashton Jentre Sutton, 20, of Athens and Jacob Morat Faust, 20, of Cumming are accused of entering a residence on Riverbend Parkway and stealing $1,931 worth of items at gunpoint. One of the suspects was armed.

The robbery occurred around 12:45 p.m. Sunday Sept. 22.

“They said they were looking for ‘weed’ and money,” police said in a news release. “When they did not locate either, the suspects took a laptop, iPad, printer, cell phone, and cash.”

One of the residents told police two of the men were in the house the day before. A description of the men and their vehicle was circulated among officers. A short time later, police found the suspects and the car were found on Riverbend near South Milledge Avenue.
