Major Mike Shockley Left ACC Police When Porn Found on his Computer
Longtime police officer retires amid allegations he downloaded porn onto an ACC computer.

Athens Clarke County Police Chief Jack Lumpkin announced on Monday that Major Mike Shockley had retired on Friday because of accusations involving pornography.
The Chief said that Shockley had downloaded sexually explicit materials onto his work computer, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald. The material didn't seem to be of a predatory nature, meaning the porno didn't involve children, but officials plan to search Shockley's computer thoroughly.
Shockley, a 30-year veteran of the force, handled the police department’s Information Management Division, the story said. Over the years he has supervised upgrades to the department’s computer system, and he has installed including laptop computers in police cars.
