Man, 19, Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Girl, 13, in Athens
The alleged assailant was fighting with the girl's family when police arrived.
An Athens man was charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.
Rivington Bradford, 19, tried to force himself on the child, she told police. The story says police learned about the incident at 4pm Tuesday, when they responded to a call about a fight on Danielsville Road. The fight involved Bradford and the alleged victim’s family.
According to the story, the girl told police that Bradford grabbed her, pulled her on top of him and kissed her. When she punched him and tried to get away, he grabbed her buttocks and crotch.

Police later found Bradford, who lives on Sanders Road, and arrested him for sexual assault. He told authorities the girl kissed him.
