Man Arrested for Public Intoxication After Threatening Bar-Goers

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

A man was arrested for public intoxication early Tuesday morning after he was removed from the Moonshine Bar for threatening other bar attendees, according to an report.

Police approached Samuel Friedman, 23, after a cab driver notified officers that there was a problem at the Moonshine Bar. Friedman was yelling at some people standing in the doorway of the bar while another person held him back and tried to convince him to walk away.

As the officer approached, Friedman reportedly yelled, "I'll cut your d**k off. I'm not even playing." The officer grabbed him by the arm and told Friedman it was time to leave. Friedman continued to yell and cuss while being arrested, and eventually had to be handcuffed and put on the ground.

Friedman was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Clarke County Jail.
