Man Arrested on Warrant After Digging Through Garbage

A man with an outstanding warrant was arrested Thursday after he was reported for digging through people's garbage, according to an report. 

Police approached John Hardie, 42, after someone reported that a suspicious man riding a bike and wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts was going through the garbage. Hardie was going through Five Star Tire & Automotive's garbage when police arrived.

After asking for his identification, police found that Hardie had a warrant out for a charge of having no headlight on his bicycle. Hardie was arrested and transported to Clarke County Jail.
