Police later discovered on 911 recordings that the person who had called was afraid the person was going to kill her, and that she was afraid the man had a gun. She also told the dispatcher that she and her roommate had run to a neighbor's house without locking or closing their front door when they saw the man walk in.
Once back-up was at the house, police called for whoever was inside to come out the front door. There was no response. Police entered the house and discovered no one inside, but another officer said he had found a man who confessed to entering the house "as a prank against the occupants."
