Man's Car Vandalized with Eggs and Grits

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

An Athens resident's car was vandalized Monday after someone threw eggs and grits onto the car, according to an report.

The man, who resides on the 600 block of Reese Street, told police that his neighbor, who is allegedly "a mental patient" grew angry with him Sunday when he refused to give the neighbor a ride. During the argument, the neighbor said he was going to cause damage to the man's car.

When police came to speak with the victim, they reported that several eggs had been broken on the vehicle and that grits had been poured "all over the top." A large chunk of asphalt had also been tossed on top of the vehicle and had caused damage to the windshield and hood.
