Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Athens Shooting
Police said the shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. at Thumpa Avenue.
ATHENS, GA — An 18-year-old man was injured Saturday in a Thumpa Avenue shooting Saturday, according to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department Monday.
Officers were responding to a discharging firearms call around 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Thumpa, when they received a call shortly after that the man had arrived at the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police determined his injuries were related to the Thumpa shooting, police said.
