Man Tries to Take Car Keys, Gets Arrested

Around 6:30pm on April 2 officers responded to a complaint of a man with a gun in the area of Atlanta Hwy/Epps Bridge Road.

Contact was made with a woman from Holman Ave who said she was in her vehicle waiting for the red light at the intersection. She said a man she knows approached the window and began yelling at her about owning him money.

He then opened the car door and tried to remove the keys from the ignition. When he could not get the keys, he attempted to take her purse. He was unable to get the purse and she thinks he took an iPod Touch from the console.

The man, Steven Lindsey Davis, was taken into custody after officers arrived. No gun was found. After questioning, Davis, 34, Brookstone Drive, was arrested and charged with Battery and Suspended/Revoked License. The investigation continues.
