"Mystique of the Automobile"
Ranging from the mundane to the odd to the elegant, the many cars exhibited at this free event provided insights into the age of the automobile.
The Saturday event at Lyndon House Arts Center -- "Mystique of The Automobile: A Festival of Cars, Art and Fashion" -- included approximately 100 cars spanning about 60 years, from the early 1910s through the 1960s. There were also activities for children, live music, and a fashion show reflecting the various decades represented. And there were drawings for door prizes for attendees as well as trophies for owners of the most outstanding cars in the exhibit. Inside, motorcycles were on display, and a gallery exhibition featuring work by artists associated with the Automotive Fine Arts Society.
This photo album offers a view of an exciting era of automotive history.
