Nearly $6,000 in Computers, Guns, Game Systems Stolen in Burglary

Media alert for March 16 from Athens-Clarke County Police

• Alfreino Johnson, the manager of Dish Network on Ben Burton Rd., reported sometime between 2015 hours on the 14th of March and 0730 hours on the 15th of March that four of their company vans had the locks damaged on the rear doors. It appeared as if someone attempted to enter the vehicles. It is unknown if entry was gained or not as there were no known items missing.

• Frank Stewart reported that on the 7th of March he found that his storage building at his Chesterton Dr. residence had been burglarized. Stewart advised that there was no sign of forced entry. Items taken were 3 brief cases valued at $150 and 3 back packs valued at $20.
• Dequelun Mathis reported that sometime between 1945 hours and 2130 hours on the 15th of March her residence on Old Hull Rd. was burglarized. Items taken were 2 X-Box 360 valued at $250 each, X-Box console game controllers valued at $75, 15 X-Box games valued at $300 and a NBA 2K14 game valued at $40.
  
• Kyle Petrina, Andrew Carlton, Thomas Herndon and Charles Howell reported that their residence on Elizabeth St. had been burglarized sometime between 0800 hours on the 8th of March and 1000 hours on the 15th of March. Items taken were an Apple Macbook Pro valued at $1100, 4 Google Chromecast valued at $35 each, an Apple Macbook Pro valued at $1800, a Mossberg 500 shotgun valued at $200, an Apple Macbook Pro valued at $1100, a Remington 1187 shotgun valued at $500, a 22 rifle valued at $300, and $50 in loose change.

• Latia West reported that during a domestic dispute with a male that she lived with he pulled a knife on her and threatened to kill her. The incident is pending further investigation.

• Child molestation from October of 2013 was reported to have taken place at an east side location. This incident is currently under investigation.
