New Brewery Coming to Snow Tire Building in Downtown Athens, Ga.

UGA Alum David Stein wants Creature Comforts Brewery to open in mid-2013.

The closed Snow Tire building on Hancock is getting a new tenant.

Creature Comforts, a brewery, will be run David Stein, the brewer at Twain's Billiards and Taps in Atlanta, according to a story in Atlanta Magazine.

The company's Facebook page says it's shooting to open in mid-2013.

The former tire operation will include a 30-barrel brewhouse that can produce 6,000 barrels, or 189,000 gallons, of beer the first year.
