Pedestrian Killed in Athens Crash
Police are seeking information about the driver, who left the scene of the accident.

ATHENS, GA — Police are seeking leads in the case of a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in Athens on Saturday.
Charles Sokol, 22, was killed Saturday at 1:41 a.m. while walking on the Athens bypass near Commerce Road, according to Athens-Clarke County Police.
The vehicle that struck him was last seen headed east on the perimeter and possibly exited at Danielsville Road, police say.

The vehicle may have damage to the front windshield and hood and will have a side window that was broken out, according to police.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone with information leading to the identification of the vehicle and driver.
