Peeping and Prowling--And Getting Arrested

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

At 2:25am on March 31, ACCPD officers responded to a reported Peeping Tom at Pinewood Apartments, 288 Bailey Street. A 22-year old woman reported that she had witnessed a tall, black male looking into her apartment. When she made eye contact with the subject, he left the area.

At 12:55am on March 30, ACCPD officers responded to the Riverbend Parkway residence of two young women, aged 25 and 27. A shadowy figure had been seen outside the window of their residence, possible peeping in the windows. When one of the women looked out, she saw a dark-colored pickup truck speeding away. Shortly afterwards, University of Georgia Police made contact with a dark-colored pickup in a neighboring complex. The driver was sweating profusedly and appeared extremely nervous. The driver, John Adam Evers, 38, Colbert, was unable to explain what he was doing in the complex and was subsequently arrested and charged with Loitering and Prowling.
