Pit Bull Puppy at Center of Dispute in Athens, Ga.

A woman returned to her Massey Lane residence at 4:40pm on January 4 to discover a man climbing out of a window in the front of her residence.

The man was handing a Pit Bull puppy and dog bed out the window to a woman who was standing on the front porch. The resident confronted the two suspects, and the man claimed that he was part owner of the puppy, which had been given to a family member as a gift.

The dog and the dog bed were recovered by the victim, and the suspects left the area. They were later located and identified.

The case is currently under further investigation.
