Pedaling Police Chase Down Alleged Twix Bar Thief
The information in this story comes from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

A man was arrested for stealing a candy bar after leading an officer on a foot and bike race Thursday, according to an Athens-Clarke County Police report.
An employee at Lay-Z-Shopper told police that a man had come into his store earlier in the week and stolen a Twix bar. He saw the same man standing outside his business on Tuesday, and confronted him about the theft. The man denied taking anything and walked away.
Police found Milton Bostic, 29, at the intersection of North Jackson Street and East Clayton Street. When an officer asked Bostic to come with him, he said "For what?" The officer then explained the situation and, according to the police report, Bostic ran.

The officer hopped onto his bike and began riding parallel to Bostic. When Bostic finally became tired and stopped running around South Jackson Street, the report says, the officer jumped from his bike, secured him and arrested him.
Bostic was arrested and taken to Clarke County Jail. He was charged with shoplifting.
