Pulling Handles, Looking in Cars Gets Man Arrested

ARREST

Around 10 a.m. Sept. 14 an officer responded to a complaint of a male pulling on car door handles and looking into parked vehicles in the Washington St/College Ave area. A male who matched the description was located on College Ave. As the officer observed him, he saw the male look in several vehicles. After watching him for several minutes, the officer stopped the male on Jackson St. He was identified as Michael James Martin, 56, Catalpa Ln. When questioned, Martin could not explain his actions. He was arrested and charged with Loitering/Prowling.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

Between midnight and 7 a.m. Sept. 14 an attempt was made to burglarize Pulaski Heights BBQ, 675 Pulaski St.

BURGLARY

A woman reported her Upland Ct residence was burglarized between 12 p.m. Sept. 12 and 7 p.m. Sept. 14. TVs, a video game system, and tablets with a total value of $1,490 were stolen.

THEFT BY TAKING

A 1988 Jeep Wrangler was stolen from a North Ave residence between 4 p.m. Sept. 13 and 9 a.m. Sept. 14. The vehicle is red, with Georgia tag DCQ313, and is valued at $2,000.
