$1K Reward Offered In Fatal Athens Shooting Of Man

Crime Stoppers Atlanta is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information relating to the 72-year-old man's death.

ATHENS, GA — An award of up to $1,000 is being offered for information in the fatal shooting of 72-year-old Eugene Scott, Athens-Clarke County Police said.

Scott was found dead around 8:15 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 200 block of Old Monroe Road, police said. Police have not said what led to the shooting and did not identify possible suspects.
