Sexual Battery Reported, U-Haul Truck Missing, Water Poured in Gas Tank

BURGLARY

A vacant Tallassee Road residence was burglarized some time prior to 6 p.m. on September 30. A washer, dryer, window unit air conditioner, and sofa were stolen. The total value was $1,500. A possible suspect was named.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

An Athens man reported that someone poured water into the gas tank of his vehicle between midnight September 29 and 6 a.m. September 30 while it was parked at his Fairlane Drive residence.

ENTERING AUTO

Between midnight and 9 a.m. September 27 ice hockey equipment valued at $1,470 was stolen from a vehicle while parked at a Talmadge Street location.

SEXUAL BATTERY

The 22-year old victim said a person known touched her buttocks and took a photo of her private parts while she was sleeping. This occurred between midnight September 29 and 8 a.m. September 30 at a west side residence.

THEFT BY TAKING

On August 4 a 2001 Ford Econoline E450 was rented from U Haul, 2900 Atlanta Hwy. As of September 30, the vehicle had not been returned. It is white and orange in color, with Arizona tag AE27639, and is valued at $45,000. Employees have been unable to make contact with the person who rented the vehicle.
