Teenager Bonks Woman on Head With Rock, Robs Her, Gets Arrested
The woman was assaulted on Pulaski Street as she walked home from work.
A teenager came up behind a woman walking home on Pulaski Street from her job at a downtown restaurant Thursday night. He hit her head with a rock and snatched her purse as she fell down, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.
The police were in the area--the assault happened on Pulaski near Barrow Street around 11pm--and quickly found someone who matched the suspect's description, the story says. Qualyn Starks was running from the area when police arrested him and took him to the downtown police station for questioning.
He was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault, the story says. The woman's purse was found in front of a Pulaski Street house.
