The West Washington Building Gains Another Tenant
The Athens, Ga., office of Jackson Spalding will lease 4,200 square feet.

The Athens office of Jackson Spalding is moving to 4,200 square feet of office space in the West Washington Building, leased by the .
The move means that 60 percent of the leasable part of the environmentally friendly building is filled, according to a press release.
“Jackson Spalding is known for innovation, communication and branding,” said John Starr, senior vice president of development with Batson-Cook Development Company. “By choosing West Washington, they are moving into a building which truly reflects their firm.”

The building features a roof top garden, drought tolerant vegetation and a rain water cistern. It also has recycled materials, energy efficient air conditioning units, and tenant guidelines encouraging green build-outs. Thus far, it is one of the only LEED-certified office buildings in Athens.
The facility spreads along West Clayton and Washington streets. It includes 14,600 square feet of retail space, 28,000 square feet of office space and 540 parking spaces.
