TVs, Hybrid Bike, 4-Wheeler, 3-Month-Old Pit Bull Reported Stolen

ROBBERY
On August 1 around 12:24 a.m., an Athens man reported to police that he and a friend were exiting his apartment on Sycamore Lane when a black male knocked him to the ground and took a $20 bill that he had dropped. The suspect fled and is described as being 5’11” tall, 210 lbs; short hair and a goatee. He was wearing khaki pants and a sleeveless black shirt. This investigation continues.
BURGLARY
On July 31 at 9:41 a.m., a maintenance worker at 2360 W Broad Street reported to police that he had discovered a broken window at one of the apartments and a door forcibly opened. Contact with the victim was unsuccessful. A room was ransacked but it is not known if anything was removed. The investigation continues.
On July 31 at 5:15 p.m., a man reported to police that his sister’s residence at 1495 US HWY 29, North was entered through an unlocked door. Several items had been removed to include two TVs, a Sony PlayStation and jewelry. Total value is $450.
An Athens man reported on August 1 that a person known to him entered his 2360 W Broad Street apartment between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on July 10 and removed his TV and a 3-month-old Blue Pit Bull puppy. The total value is $1,700.
THEFT BY TAKING
An Athens man reported that sometime between July 30 at 7 p.m. and July 31 at 12 p.m., someone removed his Trek hybrid bicycle from his Hill Street porch. The bicycle is valued at $600.
Someone removed a Banshee four-wheeler was stolen from a Barnett Shoals Road residence on July 31 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. The four-wheeler is described as orange and black and is valued at $2,500.
ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES
On July 31 at 1729, Rosia M. Daniel, of Athens, was heading north on Hawthorne Avenue driving a 1987 Toyota Camry. Jermaine Terrell Arnold, also of Athens, was heading south on Hawthorne Avenue driving a 2002 Ford Taurus. Armold made a left turn onto Old Epps Bridge Road and struck the Daniel vehicle. Daniel was transported to a local hospital for her injuries. Arnold was cited for Failure to Yield, Turning Left.
