Twins Charged with Murder, Concealing Death in Winder, Ga.

The investigation of a body found buried at a Winder residence is still ongoing and Winder police say there are questions to be answered.

 

The Winder Police Department has charged twin brothers Christopher Cormier and William Cormier with murder, according to a news release. 

The brothers have been in police custody since Monday, when a body was found buried in the backyard of a Sixth Street residence in Winder. The body is believed to be that of Sean Dugas, a 30-year-old Pensacola man and a former reporter for the Pensacola News Journal, who has been missing since September. According to Winder police, a medical examiner declared the case a homicide and well as estimated the time of death to be approximately one month ago.

According to police, the body was found . The residence is rented by the brothers' father. The father told police his sons arrived from Florida about three weeks ago. They reportedly told their father they were taking care of the missing person’s dog but ended up killing the dog and burying it in the backyard. 

The investigation by the Winder Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation ongoing.
