Two Hotels, Multiple Suspects, Same Illegal Drug

On August 31 at 4am, the Drug Task Force conducted an investigation at the Sleep Inn on Florence Drive.
Christopher Phillip Vaughn, 36, Stoneridge Drive, Colbert; Steven Chance Massey, 24, Ed Coile Road, Hull; and Talsey Cleveland McCullough, 32, Sawdust Road, Hull, were charged with Trafficking/Smuggling In Methamphetamine and Amphetamine.
On September 1st at 4:59am, an Athens Clarke County Police officer was patrolling the Budget Host Motel on the Atlanta Highway. There was a male standing in the parking lot clutching his pocket nervously. He was identified as Billy Joe Furr, 56, Westchester Drive. He was in possession of illegal substances. He was charged with Possession With Intent To Distribute Schedule Drugs, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Drugs Outside of Original Container.
