UGA Prof Gives Tuba Recital at Ramsey Concert Hall

On Thursday, October 2, University of Georgia professor David Zerkel will give a tuba recital at 8 p.m. in Ramsey Concert Hall.

Zerkel, who enjoys an international reputation both for his performing and teaching, will present a varied recital of James Woodward’s “Three Reflections,” David Gillingham’s “Jabberwocky,” Michael Daugherty’s “Reflections on the Mississippi,” Anthony Plog’s “Nocturne,” and Halsey Stevens’ “Sonatina.”

Tickets for the event, part of the Hugh Hodgson Faculty Series, are $10 or $5 with UGA student ID and may be obtained by calling 706-542-4400 or visiting pac.uga.edu.
