UGA Student Found Dead at Russell Hall

University of Georgia Police are investigating the death of a student who was found at Russell Hall around 6 p.m. Thursday.

Police said Mikal Ghirmazghi, 21, was dead when officers and EMS personnel responded to a medial assistance call. WSB-TV said she was found in her dorm room.

“Preliminary investigation revealed no obvious cause of death, nor were there any obvious signs of foul play,” UGA Police said in a media release.
