UGA Student Shot, Suspect Charged: Report
Two people, including a University of Georgia student, were shot Saturday in the 200 block of West Clayton Street.
ATHENS, GA — Two people, one of which is a University of Georgia student, are being treated after being shot Saturday in the 200 block of West Clayton Street, according to Channel 2 Action News.
The shooting occurred around 2:15 a.m. less than a mile from UGA, the outlet reported.
The UGA student is a 22-year-old woman while the second person shot is a 30-year-old man, Channel 2 reported.

Corey Austin, 24, was charged in connection with the case, the outlet reported.
According to Clarke County Jail records, Austin was charged on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of/attempt to commit certain felonies.

He was still in custody as of Monday afternoon, according to jail records.
