UGA holds public hearing tonight on Rutherford Hall
Those with opinions about the historic residence hall can share them.

The Grand Old Lady of South Campus, as some are calling her, will learn what people are saying about her on Tuesday.
University of Georgia officials are holding a public hearing tonight to "receive comments regarding the disposition of Rutherfold Hall," according to a public notice. Rutherford is a historic residence hall on South Campus, in the Myers Quad.
The h-shaped building, constructed in 1939 by the Works Progress Administration, has been in the spotlight for weeks, since the Athens Clarke Heritage Foundation and other preservation groups, including the National Trust, began questioning UGA's decision to demolish it. Housing and planning officials want to replace it with a newer, larger structure that can accommodate more students.
