UGA to Host Nine Day Festival Celebrating the Arts

The University of Georgia is showing off its creativity. 

The flagship university will be celebrating its humanities on campus with a nine day festival of events, from Nov. 3 to Nov. 11. Libby Morris, UGA's Vice Provost, said the conglomeration of performances was an effort by the UGA Arts Council to highlight performing, visual, and music arts. 

"We've included a lot of events that are enjoyable for students, community members, families and everone else," she said. "It's a really important event because it showcases some of the talents on campus as well as highlights UGA's contributions to the humanities."

The festival kicks off with plays, dance classes, cartoonists and book signings. Here are the highlights for this weekend.
