Vandals Hit Office, Clubhouse at Athens Apartment Complex

BURGLARY

A Reese Street residence was burglarized between 7 p.m. July 26 and 6 a.m. July 27. A tool bag, batteries, battery charger, saw, drill, assorted hand tools, and alcoholic beverages were stolen. The total value was $731. A possible suspect was identified.

An Arch Street residence was burglarized between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. July 27 . A TV valued at $500 was stolen.

A N Billups Street residence was burglarized between 7 p.m. July 25 and 9 p.m. July 27. A Toughbook and purse with a total value of $1,050 were stolen.

BURGLARY / BATTERY

An Athens resident said she heard a noise in a bedroom around 11:20 p.m. on July 27. When she opened the door, she saw two males reaching down in a closet. As the males ran out, one punched her in the mouth and pushed her. Both suspects exited the back door. Nothing is known missing. Possible suspects were identified.

BURGLARY / ENTERING AUTO

An E Broad Street residence was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. July 27. A laptop, iPhone, and cash with a total value of $305 were stolen. A vehicle was also entered but nothing is known missing.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

The office and clubhouse at Riverbend Club Apts, 355 Riverbend Pkwy, were damaged between 11 p.m. July 26 and 7 a.m. July 27. A water fountain was pulled from the wall causing water to leak throughout the building. Mirrors were broken, the pool table felt was cut, upholstered chairs and a sofa were cut, lamps were broken, a TV was damaged, and toilets were damaged. The damage was estimated at $3,225.
