Waving Around a BB-Gun Lands Man in Jail And Other Incidents

On April 5 officers responded to a call of a man with a gun in the area of Lexington Road and Robert Hardeman Road.
The caller said a man was waving a gun around and acting like he was going to discharge the weapon. On arrival officers searched the area and located the offender, William Carey Holley.

The gun was recovered. Police learned it was a BB type gun. Holley was arrested and charged with Reckless Conduct and Criminal Trespass.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute on April 5 on Ruth Drive. As a result, Christopher Knight was charged with False Imprisonment, Battery and Simple Assault. This investigation is ongoing.
Officers met with a juvenile victim regarding a robbery that occurred on April 2nd at Clarke Central High school. The juvenile said he was approached by a group of male students in the bathroom. He told police the young men took his shoes and money. This case is under investigation.
A resident of McKinley Drive said his 1997 Chevrolet S10 was stolen from his residence sometime on April 5.
A man reported that a laptop computer was taken from the Athens Regional Emergency Room around March 22. The laptop was valued at $800.
A man said someone entered his truck at his South Lumpkin Street residence between April 2 and April 4. The man said his Smith and Wesson .357 Revolver was taken.
A man reported that an A/C unit was stolen from an address on Tremont Drive. He said the property was owned by Bank of America. The date of theft has not been determined. The stolen property was valued at $1,000.
A woman said her 2004 Honda Motorcycle was stolen from her Tallassee Road residence between 5pm and 10:30pm on April 5. The motorcycle is a gray Honda VTX1300 valued at $4,500.
