Weekend Police Calls: Ruger Pistol, Moped and 20 Pairs of Shoes Reported Stolen

Sunday, May 18
Burglary
A Bridgewater Circle residence was burglarized on 5/17/14 between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. A shotgun, electronics and clothing were taken from the residence; these items together were valued at $10,991.

Theft
A woman said her 1998 Honda Civic was entered while parked at Carmike Cinemas. The incident occurred between 3:10 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on 5/17/14. Fifty dollars in cash was stolen.

A Firewood Court resident said her 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was entered at Lay Park between 1 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on 5/17/14. A pocketbook was taken.

A Madison County man said his 1995 Ford Ranger was entered between 7 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on 5/17/14. The victim said the incident occurred at Longhorns. A Ruger Pistol valued at $330 was stolen.

Saturday, May 17

Burglary

A Magnolia Terrace home was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on 5/16/14. The resident said entry was made by breaking a window. Twenty pairs of shoes valued at $2,650 were taken.

Theft
A 1996 Nissan Sentra was entered between 6:30 p.m. on 5/15/14 and 7 a.m. on 5/16/14. The incident occurred on Hilltop Rd. A stereo system and spare tire valued at $492 were taken.

A 2005 Dodge was taken from a Berlin Street residence between 9:40 p.m. on 5/13/14 and 6 a.m. on 5/14/14. The resident said her pocketbook and keys were in the vehicle. A suspect was named in the report.

A man reported his moped-style scooter was stolen from his Lakeside Drive residence between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on 5/17/14. It was black in color but the resident could not provide the make or model of the scooter. He valued the scooter at $3,000.
