Woman Tries to Return Stolen Goods at Target

An Athens woman attempted to return several clothing items at Friday after stealing them from the store, according to an report.

A Target employee told police that Kendra Marable, 23, had taken several shirts to customer service without first paying for them and attempted to return them without a receipt. The customer service representative gave Marable a gift card valued at $66.85 before Marable was stopped.

When questioned by officers, Marable gave her correct name but gave an incorrect birth date twice. A registry check also revealed that Marable had three prior shoplifting convictions.
